  It is with the utmost sadness we share some terrible news about a remarkable young man’s passing, Michael “Jake” Burkhardt from Waymart in Wayne County. Jake was killed in a car accident Monday night January 25, near Keystone College where he was a freshman. Jake was the 2015 Audubon Society Environmental Scholarship recipient and a volunteer at Lacawac Sanctuary. SEEDS, with support from PPL Electric Utilities, is sponsoring 3 sustainable energy sessions for area builders and contractors. The Wayne Builders Association recently merged with Pike County and formed the Wayne Pike Building Industry Associates. This year an anonymous donor matched all donations up to $4000 and we are very happy to report that we reached that milestone…and then some!!
