2023 End of Year Letter

Empowering Sustainable Communities

Dear Members and Friends,

For the last fifteen years, SEEDS (Sustainable Energy Education and Development Support), its board members, and its volunteers have been a mainstay in our community, impacting our corner of Pennsylvania as stalwart advocates for a cleaner energy future and sustainable living.

Since its founding in 2008, SEEDS has presented numerous free educational forums on:

  • energy efficiency
  • renewable energy
  • water conservation
  • homesteading
  • and so much more.

SEEDS is best known for our

  • Do-It-Yourself hands-on workshops
  • free home energy assessments
  • the creation of The Clean Energy Co-Op
  • working with elected officials to enable The Pennsylvania Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy Program, or C-PACE, financing options for Wayne County
  • and the annual FREE Book Share – a bonanza of free book shopping, featuring donated books from anyone, with leftover books donated to global literacy programs and all others recycled so not one ends up in a landfill.

SEEDS volunteers have advocated effectively, respectfully, and passionately in our community for 15 years and we are at a pivotal point in our development…. And we need YOU!

You can make a difference!

Volunteer Your Time and Expertise
It is an important principle at SEEDS that the donation of time is paramount to the organization. Our value is not calculated through dollars alone but rather the strength of diverse and dedicated volunteers. We are always seeking volunteers to support our mission of educating our community about sustainable energy and living. You don’t need to be an expert; being a SEEDS volunteer is about learning what is happening in our community and how to help make it more sustainable. Let us know if you would like to contribute your time to the growing sustainability of our community. Meet people and get connected through SEEDS. We need you now! Email us at info@seedsgroup.net to find out more or to tell us about your availability and interest areas.

Share Your Ideas
What are we doing right? What can we do better? What smart initiatives can we implement?  We need your ideas, your thoughts, and your suggestions, please share!
