2 Opportunities to see Solar Powered “Oscillation Film Festival” in Honesdale

Love nature and the environment? Love independent films? Love gathering with friends, old and new, and learning more about energy solutions that are shaping our future? Then you can’t miss this unique Film Festival and Solar Workshop – like you have never seen before!

SEEDS, Sustainable Energy Education and Development Support invites everyone to join us in welcoming visiting artists/environmentalists Austin Krause and Jessica Giacobbe of the Oscillation Film Festival  who are presenting 2 screenings of their solarized Film Festival in Honesdale this month. Each event will offer a 1 hour solar workshop that will provide insight on specifically how Oscillation Transia operates on solar energy, and a discussion on the applications of solar energy and a demonstration of their smaller photovoltaic systems. After a break, the evening concludes with a 90 minute film festival. The festival, created to inspire all of us to travel, explore and protect our planet, features 10 short films about travel and the natural environment.

All of the films in Oscillation Transia were hand-selected by Jess Giacobbe, the founder and director of the event, from over 500 submissions by directors around the world. Her artistic vision has guided Oscillation Transia to a 90 minute film screening featuring 10 experimental and documentary short films which showcase the themes of travel, nature, and movement. With films like “We Eat Fish?” about Alaskan Wildlife Preservation and “Love Me Forever” a film about life for Jamaican natives.
