Would you like to learn how advanced wood heat can help your school, business, or institution? Learn how to save money on heating costs and transform operations to a renewable and sustainable source while supporting the local economy and the environment by helping to create healthier forests.

Topics of presentations include the availability and sustainability of biomass fuels, advanced systems for wood heat, and project development considerations. There will also be educational and vendor displays. 

This event includes a tour of the biomass heating facility at The Cooperage, which features a high efficiency wood pellet boiler system. Advanced registration is required. Registration deadline is Friday, October 7th. The cost is $10 per person. This course counts for 4 hours (1 year) of PA SFI C.E. Credits. 

This event is organized by NTHA and the Pennsylvania State Wood Energy Team, a USDA Forest Service collaborative effort of Penn State Extension and over 40 organizations and companies. The Northern Tier Hardwood Association is a non-profit organization serving the wood industry and its supporters throughout Wayne, Pike, Lackawanna, Susquehanna, Bradford, Sullivan, Wyoming, Luzerne, and Tioga counties of Pennsylvania.
