Recycling Workshop with Rocket Composter Demonstration

SEEDS (Sustainable Energy Education and Development Support) will be presenting RECYCLING: Past, Present, Future which will include a demonstration of the Rocket Composter on Wednesday night April 25th at the Honesdale High School at 6:30 pm. Park near the District Office – 474 Grove Street in Honesdale. Suggested donation is $5.

This forum was created because of all the questions about recycling. Come learn how recycling all began, the good, the bad and the ugly of single stream recycling, and best practices for tomorrow. Learn how to increase recycling in your daily household routine. Learn what innovative recycling initiatives our schools and local businesses have implemented. See the Rocket Composter at Wayne Highlands School District and learn how every student changed behavior to make this work, how the County got involved and supported the project, and how the community is benefitting.

Guest speakers include: Chuck Heyn – one of SEEDS’ Founders; Randy Heller – Wayne County Recycling Director; and Stephen Moulton, Business Operations Director of the Himalayan Institute, who will present on their Zero-Waste campaign.
