The annual Book Share event has one steadfast goal, that no books end up in landfills and that our beloved book treasures are reused or properly recycled. The SEEDS Book Share is held in tantum with the Wayne County Public Library’s Annual Family Fun Fair every September.

Since 2012, the Annual Free Book Share has handled over 250,000 pieces of paper media With more than 80,000 books finding new homes!

Every year hundreds of dedicated volunteers travel from as far away as New York City to connect with each other as they count and sort every single book!

Our goal is to find new homes for as many books as possible each year!

Over 10,000 lbs. Shipped!
This event has shipped over 10,000 pounds of books to support global and domestic literacy efforts. Including working with Operation Paperback an organization that distributes books to our veterans serving around the globe and at home.

All are welcome to browse a selection spanning from baby’s board books to adult science fiction novels and Amsterdam travel books to college textbooks on zoology. There is a little bit of everything and guaranteed something for everyone!
